The Inverex Fronius Tauro 50 KW is a heavy-duty, commercial-grade three-phase on-grid inverter designed for high-performance solar plants. While the “Tauro Eco” is optimized for uniform arrays, the Standard Tauro (often simply called the Tauro 50) is the more flexible version, featuring multiple MPPTs to handle complex roof designs, different panel orientations, or shading issues.
The Inverex Fronius Tauro 50-3 is a high-performance, three-phase on-grid inverter designed for demanding commercial solar projects where flexibility and maximum uptime are critical. Unlike the “Eco” version which features a single MPPT, the standard Tauro 50 kW model is equipped with 3 independent MPPT trackers, making it the superior choice for complex roof layouts with different orientations, varying tilts, or potential shading issues. It delivers a rated AC output of 50,000W and can handle a DC oversizing of up to 75,000Wp (75kWp). Its defining characteristic is its rugged, double-walled housing and active cooling system, which allows for direct outdoor installation and ensures the unit maintains full power without derating in ambient temperatures up to 50°C. Available in both Direct (D) for decentralized setups and Precombined (P) for centralized configurations, it features an exceptionally wide MPP voltage range of 400V to 870V (1,000V Max) and includes integrated Type 1+2 surge protection and string fuses as standard. With its modular design, individual power stages can be replaced on-site by a single person, drastically reducing maintenance time and ensuring a high return on investment for long-term industrial net-metering systems.
