Guard patrolling refers to an act of a group of people, unit of persons, vehicles, etc., employed for reconnaissance, security or combat that go through an area or building by walking or going around making sure that it is safe or for the purpose of watching or protecting. Modern systems are based on handheld data loggers and RFID sensors. These persons or units also carry a portable electronic sensor (PES) or electronic data collector. These data collectors gather specific information that is transmitted and Computer software used to compile the data from the collector.

Guard Patrolling System:

A security guard is someone who patrols and inspects property against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity. They monitor people and buildings in an effort to prevent crime. Guards must remain alert, looking for anything out of the ordinary throughout their shift. Security guards typically performs the following duties:

• Protect and enforce laws on an employer’s property
• Monitor alarms and closed-circuit TV cameras
• Control access for employees, visitors, and outside contractors
• Conduct security checks over a specified area
• Write comprehensive reports outlining what they observed while on patrol
• Interview witnesses for later court testimony
• Detain criminal violators

There are several different types of patrol each with a different objective. The most common is to collect information by carrying out a reconnaissance patrol. Such a patrol may try to remain clandestine and observe an enemy without themselves being detected.
